Two years ago, Sinbad experienced an ischemic stroke caused by a blood clot occluding oxygen flow to part of his brain. But according to family reports and statements released from rehab facilities, he is making remarkable progress and even weaned off his ventilator! They credit their outpouring of support as well as God for helping Sinbad beat odds against him and get well again.

Sinbad’s tale begins when an evil wizard named Jaffar casts an evil spell to plunge an otherwise happy kingdom into darkness and despair, prompting legendary courageous sailor Sinbad (Lou Ferrigno in an amazing white guy afro) to recover magical stones that can break it. Along the way he must navigate Amazon women, sword-wielding skeletons on an isle of death, and battle his demonic double in an incredible final showdown!

Sinbad stands out from the average mercenary with his compassionate heart and respect for Marina, caring for his kingdom’s inhabitants with kindness, showing them respect too, accepting moral challenges from Eris without faltering, honoring Proteus’ relationship and refraining from romantic pursuit. When barking orders at his crew that appear strange or confusing they obey immediately showing loyalty towards Sinbad and all he stands for.

Sinbad’s journey is filled with an eclectic cast of characters who become his allies along the way, such as Drakon from Parthevia who became Sinbad’s arch enemy; Hinahoho, warrior from Imuchakk tribe; Ja’far, young assassin hired to kill Sinbad; Masrur, one of Fanalis champions at Reim gladiator coliseum, and Yamraiha an ex-student of Magnostadt Magic Academy; along with Luca who claims kingship of Sindria; Jed, an surly weapon-collector; Jin and Li, Asian shipmates who relish betting competitions among others.

A compelling cast of characters makes for a compelling plot, while subpar visual effects create an unsatisfying overall experience. Although not a great movie, Sinbad does have its charms; making for an engaging afternoon viewing session for fans of Sinbad legend.
