Kilima, north of Maji’s Hollow, contains a shrine dedicated to Dragons. Shanalotte, an unconventional half-breed who never joined the Dragon Remnants covenant but decided to live there anyway due to her hopes for freedom, is its final resident. Neither Wyverns (which care only about breeding), or Undead can understand or sympathize with what she feels are the ancient Dragon’s comforting presences – she found comfort instead in discovering who she truly was through their support from Ancient Dragon who helped her unleash the power within herself.

This shrine contains several noteworthy pieces, such as the Sukibei Wall which features carvings of land and water creatures such as lizards, birds, turtles, fishes, frogs, shellfish and even mantis! Additionally, two fishponds stocked with freshwater fishes provide ample opportunity for practicing your fishing skill!

Bone Fossils, rare items which increase damage done by equipment created from special souls, can also be found here, making this area great for exploring. In particular, look out for the Dragon Eye sign which leads to a hidden pathway leading to a gazebo-esque structure where Dragon Knights (Drakekeepers) who have been transformed into Dragons thanks to their Dragon Scales can be found as well as an Ancient Dragon who offers glimpses into eternity!

To reach the Shrine, head out of Maji’s Hollow through an arch defended by two Dragon Knights and climb the stairs until you arrive at a gazebo-esque structure with two more Dragon Knights guarding it. On your right is a metal chest holding Twinkling Titanite; while to your left there’s a corpse with Skeptic’s Spice and Twilight Herb as well as Drakekeeper Greataxe and Greatshield available for purchase.

As well as this chest containing a Faintstone, there is also a nearby chest with a dragonfly on the ground which you can commune with for more information about your shrine. Once you’ve amassed enough Wishes, purchase the chest to upgrade it further and upgrade your shrine!

Upgrades to higher levels of the shrine don’t increase either the price or number of Wishes required for purchasing the chest; however, once reaching Level 6, all progress and Wishes may be lost without warning! So act fast or risk losing everything!

Kukai dedicated his life to trying to bring rain to Japan, and one way he did this was by summoning dragons. Being a Shinto priest himself, it only makes sense that Kukai would turn to these powerful symbols of balance and the ocean and rain for help in fulfilling his prayers. Dragon sub-shrines make sense in Fushimi Inari since its primary deity is associated with rice production and agriculture.
